My last wedding of 2019 was better than I ever could have imagined between the imaginative and personal details, the order of events, to the weather that day. I knew this wedding was a great match for us both when I met Leslie and Allen for coffee and they told me it was an entirely nerd-inspired wedding.
Table decorations were made up entirely of their own kick-knacks they had at home. You want to talk about an amazing idea for DIY table decor- this is it! Add in some heart shaped confetti made out of comic book pages, an amazing Captain America guest book and custom sign from Etsy and voila; perfect nerd decor.
Even Leslie's ring has a very Superwoman feel to it, doesn't it?
When you're at a wedding and the bride walks down the isle in THIS... your mouth drops. In a GOOD way. Leslie was absolutely stunning and absolutely slays that fascinator and red dress like it's her job.
A short and sweet ceremony with personal and touching vows. There were a few wet eyes among the guests for sure.
Notice their arch? It's made out of comic book pages folded into fans.
Cypress Hall of Wannamaker Park in North Charleston was a great location for this wedding. It had everything they needed and nothing they didn't. The back lawn was on a slight hill which makes it great for large family portraits and a nice bokeh background.
You can't have a groom with a Captain America shield and not capture a superhero like pose for him. You just can't.
Congratulations to Mrs. and Mrs. Yeh!
