I met Elizabeth, Michael, and their three beautiful children last year on their vacation to Charleston. We shot downtown in the early hours so that we could take advantage of the quiet streets. They live in Tennessee and visit Charleston often, it's their favorite place to vacation on the east coast. When she contacted me again in the fall to announce her pregnancy, she said she wanted to come back, and she wanted a session all about Charleston again! It's such an honor to have clients come back again, having that connection with people is what I love most about being a photographer.

Being their 4th, obviously she was showing right away so we booked an early spring with hopes of some warmer weather and greenery. Elizabeth also wanted to go ALL OUT for this session and use multiple dresses for the client closet, which obviously, I LOVE.

I actually had JUST gotten LASIK eye surgery on Thursday, their session was on Saturday morning. So I had my fellow photographer and bestie, Lindsay Weber join along to assist. So while I was a little nervous, I was in the very best hands with Lindsay at my side to help me. I also love working with another creative to get additional posing, angles, all the creative ideas are flowing.

We started the session at 8:00 am down King St around the cross street Lambroll. I had just explored this area a few weeks prior with Lindsay as well so we had a grip on where we wanted to go and these window boxes were a MUST SEE location. The white dress was absolutely stunning here and mimicked the color of the house just perfectly without letting her get lost. From there, in Historic Charleston I usually just let the light direct me. There is rarely a bad spot here downtown, it just all depends on where the sun is and what gives you all the feels.

Anyway, as you can probably already tell, Elizabeth can absolutely rock any style dress she puts on. She has the most perfectly round baby bump too, ain't no hiding that! I think her color choices were suburb both for downtown, but also because she is having another baby girl. White and Pink are always great dress colors for downtown.

Baby girl, Charleston, is due this spring!
